My passion for flowers and nature started at an early age. My father runs a horticulture company, where I would help in out in the school holidays, earning a penny per plant I potted up (although this soon stopped when I got quicker, and the numbers started reaching the thousands!) These early years surrounded by beautiful plants and flowers has led me to where I am now, and the beginning of Catherine Short Floral Design.

I am in awe of and constantly inspired by what nature has to offer, and I try to recreate this within my arrangements by using flowers with personality and atmosphere, giving flowers the space they deserve. Seasonality is also important to me and I always try to source flowers from UK farms. Not only is this better for the environment, but the less distance your flowers have travelled before they reach your bouquet, they are more likely to retain their freshness and intoxicating scents.

I offer a personal design service, where I will take the time to understand your style and taste, and how you want to convey this through your wedding flowers. I try and make every wedding unique, where every detail matters; From sourcing the perfect vintage vases from antiques fairs, car boot sales and ebay, to including flowers with significance and meaning to you.
