Bright, Spring blooms at the Trafalgar Tavern, Greenwich

On a beautiful Spring afternoon, Kimberley and Dave tied the know at the Trafalgar Tavern in Greenwich. They wanted bright, colourful flowers to reflect the joy and happiness of the day. The Trafalgar in Greenwich is a beautiful Victorian pub, with grand high ceilings and decadent ornate decor. With this is mind, the couple decided to match the decor with a mixture of luxurious candelabras, and low lanterns.

Mixing high and low centrepieces is a great way to make an impact, whilst not overwhelming the guest's dining experience.

For the flowers I used a beautiful seasonal selection of Ranunculus, Anemones, butterfly ranunculus, Lilac, Tulips, Sweet Peas and Peonies in the bouquets. (The few weeks that peonies and ranunculus overlap is simply magical!) I also included the bride's favourite flower- Red Roses. I also used a variety of foliage to really make the blooms pop.

Kimberley's bouquet was lovingly crafted with beautiful bright flowers including *those* Coral Charm Peonies, sweet peas, anemones, ranunculus, roses and butterfly ranunculus, and finished with brightly coloured trailing ribbons.

Lois Avery Event

Event flowers for Mediterranean inspired evening at The Continental Pantry, Notting Hill.

event flowers by London florist

A few weeks ago, I provided the flowers for an event hosted by luxury cashmere brand Lois Avery. I was asked by the stylist Fleur and Fig to help transform the space into a beautiful Mediterranean  inspired dining experience. Inspired by olive groves, alfresco dining and beautiful vineyards, I created a table runner of Olive, eucalyptus and rosemary (which smelt heavenly!) and was interspersed with lemons and limes. As the evening was an intimate dinner, the only other floral decoration needed was a few small vases of beautiful white flowers, arranged in a loose style with some of the foliage used in the table garland. Flour and Fig completed the table decor with beautiful brass candlesticks, blue glassware and crisp white linen. Calligraphy from my lovely friend Lauren at Oh Wonder Calligraphy was used for place settings, along with a sprig of olive foliage, and this completed the look beautifully.
